Realms, and accounts that hold both

Hold a hotel role and a partner membership on one account and sign-in gives you a picker — plus a password prompt on the way into the portal.

Who this is for: Partner, and any hotel role — Manager and Owner most often — held on the same account as a partner membership. Where: the portfolio home after sign-in, then Confirm it's you

Most accounts belong to one realm and never meet this page: sign-in resolves straight into the hotel workspace, or straight into the partner portal, and there is nothing to choose. This page is for the account that holds both.

Two things happen to that account and to no other: sign-in stops at your portfolio, and crossing into the partner portal asks for the password again. Neither is a fault. Realms explains why the boundary is drawn where it is; this page is how to cross it.

Cross into the partner portal#

  1. Sign in as usual. Because your account reaches more than one realm, you land on the portfolio home rather than in a workspace.
  2. Select Affiliates, in the page header.
  3. On Confirm it's you, type the password for the account you are already signed in as.
  4. Select Continue to partner portal.

You arrive at your portfolio. If you act for more than one partner, you choose which one first.

The screenshot below still shows the picker as a card grid with a Partner portal entry listed above your organisations. The page was rebuilt as a property table (Epic 58) and the entry point is now the Affiliates button in the header — the crossing itself, and the password step that follows, work exactly as shown.

The realm picker, the Partner portal entry being chosen, and the Confirm it's you step-up challenge that follows

The whole crossing. The affiliate entry point sits apart from your organisations because it is a different kind of realm, not another organisation — and choosing it lands on a password prompt rather than on the portal.

Ghi chú

Being asked for a password you just typed is the feature. Your session proves who you are; step-up proves you are still at the keyboard, at the moment of crossing. The grant it issues is short-lived and scoped to the partner realm alone — it opens nothing else, and it lapses on its own.

Come back to a hotel workspace#

Sign-in gave you both, so there is nothing to undo:

  1. In the partner portal, select Sign out — or open your portfolio at /portfolio directly in a new tab (/select still resolves too, and redirects there).
  2. Choose the organisation and property you want.

Moving between two organisations, or between two properties, is not a realm crossing and never asks for a password. Only the partner boundary does.

Step up again when the grant lapses#

The step-up grant expires, and it is deliberately short. When it does, the portal sends you back to Confirm it's you on the next request — mid-session, with no warning, and no work lost.

  1. Type the password again.
  2. Select Continue to partner portal.

If the password is rejected you stay outside the realm entirely; you do not land in a half-open portal. A wrong password at this prompt changes nothing about the session you already hold.

Mẹo

If you cross into the portal several times a day, do the partner work in one sitting rather than dipping in and out. Every re-entry after the grant lapses costs the same prompt.

Switch partner, inside the portal#

An account that acts for more than one partner picks one on entry and switches with the control at the top of the sidebar. Switching is within the realm, so it costs nothing: the portfolio, statements, payouts, branding and team all change together to the partner you chose. There is no view that spans two partners, by design — one partner's book is never visible from another's.
